Using Children's Literature to Foster Empathy and Challenge Anti-Immigrant Bias
Join us for the third webinar in the series: Challenging Anti-Immigrant Bias in Schools and Society.

Title: USING CHILDREN'S LITERATURE TO FOSTER EMPATHY AND CHALLENGE ANTI-IMMIGRANT BIAS

Children’s and young people’s literature can be a compelling entry point to explore important and challenging questions about equity and justice or connect new and unfamiliar concepts with current events. Join us to learn more about how to engage students in anti-bias thinking through literature in which they may recognize themselves and learn more about the lives, experiences, and perspectives of people who are immigrants.

Moderator: Marsha Frith, Education Director, ADL Florida Office
Panelists:
Areli Morales, Author of Areli is a Dreamer
Katie Potter, Senior Literacy Specialist at Lee & Low Books
Jinnie Spiegler, Director of Curriculum and Training, ADL
