Fighting Hate From Home: The Impact of the Israel/United Arab Emirates Peace Accord
Israel and the United Arab Emirates made history in August, agreeing to work towards fully normalizing relations and even announcing plans for potential cooperation across civil and societal fields. This accord then formed the basis of a formal peace agreement signed by the UAE and Israel on September 15th, along with a shorter peace declaration between Israel and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Please join us for a Fighting Hate from Home webinar on September 24th at 2:00 ET/11:00 AM PT with UAE Ambassador to the United States Yousef Al Otaiba to explore the backstory, motivations, significance and way forward for this important diplomatic breakthrough toward Arab-Israeli understanding. The agreement has implications for the two-state solution, regional security and cooperation against global threats such as bigotry, violent extremism and the current pandemic.

We are honored to be hosting His Excellency Ambassador Al Otaiba, one of the central architects of this groundbreaking accord. He courageously challenged taboos this June when he appealed directly to the Israeli public through an Op-Ed in an Israeli newspaper, writing about annexation, normalization and other key concerns as a way to advance reconciliation between Arabs and Israelis.

Ambassador Al Otaiba will join ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt for a timely discussion about what this agreement between the two most technologically innovative countries in the Middle East means.

All registrants will be emailed a link to the recording to re-watch and share.
